The Boltz Retro Device mostly works by emulating older gaming systems' hardware. It does this in software, so old game files (ROMs) can run on its newer parts. The device has built-in storage that holds the library of games that come with it, so you don't have to download them separately. As soon as you turn it on, a menu lets you choose a game. The emulation engine then starts the game and figures out how to make it work with the device's processor, memory, and screen. The device also lets you save your progress and easily switch between games. It usually has output choices like HDMI so you can connect it to a bigger screen for TV play.
