Selecting MENA as a market was strategic as we had good understanding of it. Lived and worked in KSA/Dubai for 2 years. Internet penetration >100%, young vibrant economy and premium paying users; but lack of good quality products for users. We can exploit these to our advantage. Once we have a good word of mouth in the English speaking community, scaling to Arabic will be next. Since we are bootstrapped, we plan to work on word-of-mouth marketing. Organic reach helps bypass adwords bots that don't give relevant audience insights. Although difficult, it has helped us identify user preferences across distribution channels. Once we receive funds, we have a referral campaign in the making that we want to launch soon. We will provide premium aggregated and curated content for users who refer more users to install app. Similar to the famous PayPal campaign.
