EdTech defined: “The creation, use and management of technological resources in education, learning and training.” EdTech mainly deals with the following market segments: (1) Toddlers/Preschool; (2) Direct-to- consumers; (3) K12; (4) Higher Education (HE); and (5) Corporate/Government. Strategically speaking, Augmental has decided to target the K-12 segment through its innovative products, partnering with content providers, facilitation of trial before buying, local market support and cost effective pricing model (subscription) and with low investment fees. Educational technology is becoming a global phenomenon. To date, the US has set the trend and pace of the EdTech market. Asia is now experiencing the world’s fastest growth in investment into the sector, and Europe has seen increases in Mergers & Acquisitions; however, this region remains a largely under-invested and fragmented market. The global market reached 51 Billion in 2016. While half of it is captured by the US, more than 600 million are coming from the middle east with Lebanon our initial target, being the second largest growing market with 16\%. Our primary market will target established schools (end of 2019) in the Lebanese market that already incorporate edTech in their learning environment but lack the class learning tools to incorporate into their curriculums. We are specifically looking at 12 to 18 years old students, who are familiar and comfortable using technology in their daily life. In parallel, we are approaching publishers in the region to offer our platform as a new channel to disseminate their courseware. This will provide us easier entry into educational institutions who use the courseware of these publishers. We are already in the negotiation phase with a leading publisher in the region. We are presently using the media to create awareness of Augmental (http://www.augmental.education/ #media), and using direct sales to make contact with the schools and publishers. Ultimately, personal contact and building relationships will be our primary method of selling. Word of mouth, media, and speaking at conferences will help us generate leads and help build our reputation. We plan to target 0.13\% of the MENA schooling market summing up to $716,000 annual revenue by the end of the academic year 2021.
